What we are

Biblelogy is a free online tool for people who need an encouraging Bible verse right now — not "someday." It is a small static website with one job: to put a short, true, public-domain verse in front of you in under ten seconds, with no app to install, no account to create, no popups, and no paywall.

Why we built it this way

Most lists of encouraging verses fail exactly when you need them most. They load slowly. They bury the first verse behind three paragraphs of introduction. They use translations you cannot freely share. Biblelogy is built the opposite way: the first three verses on every page sit immediately under the heading, every verse carries a one-line plain explanation, and every card has a Copy button so sharing takes one tap.

Why the King James Version

We quote the King James Version because it is public domain — the 1611 translation's wording is freely quotable by anyone, forever. That matters for encouragement: the verses you read here are free to copy, print, text, or post without permission, licensing, or fees. The KJV's rhythm is also easier to hold in memory than most modern renderings, which is exactly what a verse you need in a hard hour should be.

Who it is for

The site is for the person who is afraid at night, waiting on news, exhausted, grieving, or watching someone they love go through a hard season. It is also for the friend, mother, father, or pastor who needs something true to forward in sixty seconds. That is why the collections are organized by situation — hard times, grief, illness, weariness — rather than by book of the Bible.

What we care about

Three things guide every page. One: patience — Scripture should be the whole point, never the garnish around the ads. Two: speed — a comfort page that takes eight seconds to open is not comfort. Three: privacy — nothing on this site exists to harvest you; it exists to help you, and then step aside.

Maintenance

Verse collections are checked and reviewed as the site grows, and each page carries the date it was last reviewed. Corrections, translation questions, and requests for new collections are genuinely welcome — the best way to reach us is through the contact page.
